I am sure by now you all have seen the infamous video of Serena trying on clothes and this was one of the outfits that we picked. I hear women tell me all the time that it is so much easier to buy clothes for girls then boys because there are more choices. I can’t speak for boys but I can tell you that picking out outfits for girls even when there are tons of choices is still hard work. I like to spend the time looking for things that will look good on her and our comfortable as well. There are too many baby pink outfits for young girls and so I make a conscious effort to not fill-up her closet with pink or any one color.
The retro glam look of this denim vest with flouncy bubble skirt was a perfect choice for a nice spring day. We walked around National Mall and Lincoln Memorial while Serena was running around introducing herself to little girls as; Hi, I am Serena ‘The fashion blogger’ what’s your name? I am inspired by her confidence everyday and her willingness to make new friends. Don’t get me wrong she has her “I am shy” moments but most days she is confident and ready to take on the world!
