Sapphire Lehenga – bisouNYC

Tea Green Anarkali – bisouNYC

Happy Friday everyone. If you are on east coast then I hope you are all ready for the snow blizzard coming our way. I am excited to snuggle with my family, play with snow and do some snow shoveling. Since friday’s are my fusion or eastern wear days on the blog. Your desi girl is  excited to share two new eastern looks.

The first look is a Sapphire Lehenga. I am in love with this sapphire lehenga (long skirt) and choli (crop top) for so many reasons. First the color combination is out of this world. It has so many intricate details.

Blue embroidered kurta

Happy Eid everyone. Your desi girl wore this Khaadi blue kurta for Eid and needless to say the complements were endless.  I have to say that the embroidery is just so wonderful and just pops the beautiful royal blue color on a soft white material . I created two separate looks for today’s post one with blue tights and the other one with white tights. I think sometimes we forget how easily we can restyle something even if it is part of our daily wardrobe.

khaadi high low kurta

I’m back with another post showcasing Khaadi. The kurta is a V neck with the back slightly longer than the front. You can see how detailed the pattern is on the entire kurta with embroidered bell sleeves. The aesthetic shade of orange is what made me fall in love with this outfit. I don’t usually wear orange much but this shade is perfect for any social gathering. If you’re like me and prefer casual tones then this one kurta is perfect. The Khaadi high low kurta is a blend of modernity and tradition.

Gleefull Green Dress with Haute Couture

Hi everyone, Desi girl is starting the weekend with more snow and a gleeful green dress. I loved yesterday’s red dress post for a wintry bridal look but today’s look has its own sultry vintage charm. The intricate details of the dress mixed with a somber green makes it a classic piece. The layers of chiffon make this sheer dress dance and as beautiful as it looks in the wintry snow it is definitely a must piece for the spring and summer too.

South Asian Soiree with Haute Couture

Happy Friday Everyone! After a white bridal dress it was only fair to bring a South Asian bridal dress to the blog in true desi girl style. Although a bridal look is much heavier, I think this will do just fine for now! One thing I love about asian dresses is that they move like a dream. The intricate details on this dress are so royal and the rich colors just make it an ideal fit for a party outfit.
