Happy Tuesday everyone – I hope you all are doing well. This winter thanks to polar vortex I have spent a lot of time indoors right next to our fireplace with a warm blanket and it brought back memories of chilly winter in my childhood. I still remember my mom wrapping me up in layers and layers of warm sweater. A sweater under my shirt then one on top and then some. I have always been a little too sensitive to cold so even now I like big cozy, comfy sweaters and puffy jackets. In college I remember not even taking off my jacket in class because I was just too cold most of the time; this has carried-over into my professional career too. Once I get to work I wait at least an hour before I think it’s warm enough for me to start de-layering.
As soon as I saw this sweater it reminded me of my childhood days and sweaters knited by my aunts and mom for those very cold winter days. This slouchy, oversized cable knit sweater has the vintage charm as if you just found your grandma’s old sweater but the batwing sleeves and curved hemlines keep it very chic and on trend.
Yes my nails do match my top. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by talented people who love to do beautiful things for me.
